Discover a world of Databricks Community Events

Advancing Analytics is proud to support Databricks community events - bringing together people who are building and using the platform. They’re a chance to share real‑world experience, learn from each other, and keep the community open, practical and welcoming.

How did we weave our magic?

We set the global standard for franchise territory mapping services and software that fits your business like a glove.

  • After a short discovery phase using our tried and tested Analytics Platform process, we were ready to get stuck into designing a platform that would support the development, deployment and management of Machine Learning models in production.

Hershey’s didn’t want to reinvent the wheel (they just wanted it to be a little bit rounder).

What were the outcomes?

After replacing all their old spreadsheets with fully automated dashboards, Hershey now automatically receives complete, accurate data feeds from their largest retail customers.  The bigwigs at Hershey are now able to embrace analytics and liaise with the data team to uncover insightful nuggets that will keep Hershey ahead of the chasing pack.

At the start of every week, the senior leadership team receives an executive summary report in a Power BI dashboard. (That’s enough to get anyone out of bed with a spring in their step on a Monday morning!). From there, they can quickly get a detailed overview of business performance. Executives used to receive 14 different spreadsheets with 20 tabs per spreadsheet. Now, they just use filters in the dashboard to bring up whatever insight they need.

A word from our CTO and Co-Founder

“Community really matters to us because it’s how this space actually moves forward. Most of what I’ve learned over the years didn’t come from slide decks or vendor docs, it came from conversations with other people building things, breaking things, and figuring it out as they went. That’s why we invest so much time in meetups, talks and sharing what we’ve learned, warts and all. If we can help make the Databricks community more open, more practical and more welcoming, then we’re doing something worthwhile.”
